High Level Conference on Ebola Epidemic (3rd March 2015, Brussels) On behalf of the Ministry of Health, a delegation under the Chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Ministry Prof. Dr. Eyüp Gümüş involving the General Director of EU and Foreign Affairs Mr. Oner Güner participated in the high-level conference on Ebola virus epidemic held on 3 March 2015 in Brussels. The conference held under the co-chairmanship of UN General Secretary, African Union Commission, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and Togo in the capacity of Ebola Coordinator welcomed participants from over 80 delegations as well as representatives at Minister level from West Africa and EU countries. Mr. Eyüp Gümüş delivered a speech in the Conference and underlined some issues including the evaluation of the efforts of international community against Ebola virus, aid efforts by our country provided and to be provided for the affected countries and efforts to be made in the forthcoming period.
