Abdullah Ali Fadhel Al-Saadi, Yemen Ambassador to Ankara, visited General Directorate of EU and Foreign Affairs on December 8, 2016, and had meeting with Dr. Öner Güner at his office.
At the meeting, they exchanged opinions on the process of the transfer of two field hospitals planned to be sent within the scope of Grant Agreement signed in Ankara on November 28, 2016 and of treatment of 300 Yemeni patients planned to be treated in Turkey after their transfer to Turkey with TIKA resources upon the agreement reached at the meeting between Prof. Dr. Recep Akdağ, Minister of Health of Turkey, and Ali Al-Ma'meri, Taiz Governor, on October 7, December. Within this scope, Dr. Öner Güner, General Director of EU and Foreign Affairs, stated that ministerial team of 2-3 people can go to Aden and carry out triage for the patients planned to be transferred to Turkey and treated after the necessary security measurements are taken and the passport of patients and wounded people are prepared by Yemeni authorities. Upon the request of Yemeni Ambassador about training of health personnel of Yemen, General Director stated that Ministry of Health of Turkey were ready to send team of 15-20 specialist trainers to Yemen after secure and stable situation was established.
