An online meeting was held on 7 September 2023 with the participation of the UK Health Security Agency and Türkiye’s Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Ministry of Foreign Relations.
At the meeting attended by the General Directorate of EU and Foreign Relations and the General Directorate of Public Health on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Türkiye's Salmonella surveillance, the international notification mechanism within the scope of the International Health Regulations (IHR) and the measures taken in case of epidemics were explained.
Additionally, information about the efforts to prevent foodborne epidemics was given by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
