Federal Minister of Health of Nigeria Dr. Emmanuel Osagie Ehanire and the accompanying Nigerian delegation paid an official visit to Türkiye on February 27 – March 1, 2022 in order to hold meetings with the Turkish Ministry of Health, Social Security Institution, Health Disaster Coordination Centre (SAKOM) and Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency.
On the occasion of this visit, Minister of Health of Türkiye Dr. Fahrettin Koca and Minister of Health of Nigeria held a bilateral talk on February 28, 2022 and discussed many cooperation areas. Following the meeting, “Memorandum of Understanding between The Government of Republic of Türkiye and The Government of Federal Republic of Nigeria on Cooperation in the field of Health and Medical Sciences” was signed.
