Minister Koca stated that cancer patients, especially children, who were being treated at the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza, will be transferred to two hospitals in Egypt in the first place.
On his social media account, Koca stated that he had an important meeting with Egyptian Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar regarding the treatment of children with cancer in Gaza.
Minister Koca stated that cancer patients, especially children, who were being treated at the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital will be transferred from the Rafah Border Crossing to Sheikh Zuvaid and El-Arish hospitals in Egypt, and together with his Egyptian counterpart they will visit children with cancer.
Adding that the healthcare staff sent from Türkiye and the Egyptian healthcare staff will carry out the treatment of the patients coming from Gaza, Koca said, “In the second stage, medically fit patients will be transferred to Türkiye by air ambulances. Israeli Minister of Health was also contacted as a part of the diplomacy activities carried out for the transfer of the patients from the Rafah Border Crossing, and Health Coordination Team was established consisting of focal points from Türkiye, Egypt and Israel.”
