Dr Aziz Alper BİTEN

Dr Aziz Alper BİTEN graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and completed his PhD at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Medicine in the field of Medical Microbiology. He got master’s degree at the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association in the field of Health Institutions Management.

He started his professional career as physician-in charge in Sivas Province. He served as the Health Group Chair of Yıldızeli District of Sivas Province between 2007-2009, as a Coordinator at the General Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye between 2009-2011, and as a Consultant at the Office of the Deputy Minister. In March 2012, he was appointed as the Department Head at the General Directorate of Administrative Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, and in November 2017, he became Deputy Director General for Administrative Services. Between October 2023-August 2024, he served as the Chief Physician at Beytepe Şehit Murat Erdi Eker State Hospital. Since August 2024, he has been serving as the Director General for European Union and Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye.

He speaks advanced level English and intermediate level Arabic.
