Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş and Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten attended the international event entitled “Public Health, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State”, held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
The programme commenced with an opening address by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and included the inauguration of a newly constructed oncology hospital in Ashgabat. Following the inauguration ceremony, the delegation visited the hospital and conducted an on-site assessment of the healthcare facility.
As part of the visit programme, Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş and Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten also participated in the international event entitled “Public Health, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State”, held in Turkmenistan.
The programme featured an international conference bringing together key areas of public health, education and sports.
Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş also attended a reception held in conjunction with the international conference in Ashgabat. During the programme, which was also attended by Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten, the Turkish delegation met with Minister of Health of Turkmenistan Myratmammed Gaiypov.
The meeting marked the continuation of bilateral engagements in the field of health throughout the official visit to Turkmenistan.
