Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a statement regarding the health status of 3 Gazan children who were brought to Türkiye.
In his statement on his social media account, Minister Koca said that 3 child patients from Gaza, who were brought to Türkiye by air ambulance, were treated in Ankara Etlik City Hospital.
Stating that the 9-year-old girl, who was trapped under the rubble because their house was bombed, had fractures in both legs, severed toes and an open wound on her leg, Koca stated that infection treatment was started immediately and both legs were put in plaster for the fractures.
Minister Koca noted the following in his statement:
“The 10-year-old girl, who was rescued from the rubble of her house collapsing because of bombing, and whose left leg was amputated above the knee, was treated for infection. Rehabilitation and prosthetic leg procedures were planned. In addition, the right collarbone fracture detected during the examination was intervened. The 2-year-old boy was hospitalized because he had a blood clot in the vein that goes from the intestines to the liver." He was hospitalized with the preliminary diagnosis of a clot in the vein going from the intestines to the liver. His examination and treatment started.
The patients were taken to the intensive care unit for close follow-up. We are making every possible effort for their treatment. Please keep them in your prayers."
