Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the video of Muhammed Nemnem from Gaza, who was brought to Türkiye for treatment with his son, whom he thought was dead, and who performed the prostration of gratitude as soon as he got off the plane.
Minister Koca shared the video of Muhammad Nemnem from Gaza, who was brought to Türkiye with his son Amir al Nemnem, on his social media account and said, "This father from Gaza is in Türkiye with his son, who is thought to have lost his life. He is explaining the healthcare services, which have become unavailable in Gaza, his meeting with his son at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital and the condition of his son, and expresses his gratitude to our President and our nation, and his happiness for coming to our country. We wish him and his son a quick recovery.”
"I prayed for my wife, my children and Gaza"
In the video, Nemnem told about the difficult times he went through with his family in Gaza, which is under attack, and stated that they have been helped since Al-Arish and added, "As soon as I landed in Türkiye, I immediately performed the prostration of gratitude. I prayed for my wife, my children, my entire family and Gaza during that prostration. After we entered Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, the doctors, nurses, everyone welcomed us very well and took great care of my child. They have been providing very good treatment to my child for three or four days. I hope my child will be as healthy as before he was wounded. I would like to thank Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Türkiye, for his help. He always supports Palestinians, especially Gazans. I thank you very much with respect and love.”
"At first I thought my son was a martyr"
Stating that their house was destroyed when Israel first bombed, Nemnem said, "After our house was destroyed, we took out the dead and the survivors. My son was among the martyrs. The doctor told me, 'Your son has been martyred.' When I looked at his throat at the last minute, I told him that my son was breathing. Then I called a doctor. I told them he was breathing and to take him to the hospital. But there was no vehicle, no ambulance, nothing. Then they found a vehicle and sent him to Al Awda Hospital and then immediately to Al-Andanusi Hospital."
"I express my gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan"
Nemnem emphasized that surgery could not be performed on his child, who had a skull fracture and bleeding, due to life-threatening risks, and that he survived because the bleeding stopped after 24 hours, and continued as follows:
"Türkiye is our second country. I would like to express my gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for being with us. I would like to thank the Turkish people. I hope they will continue their support and be with us. They take care of our patients. Hopefully, after we recover, we will return to our country after the war. I would like to thank the President, the Minister of Health and all the Turkish people."
