A meeting was held on March 17, 2021 to evaluate the work and projects that can be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, WHO, the European Union and the Union of Healthy Cities of Turkey in order to address the repercussions of climate change on human health. The meeting was chaired by the Director-General for EU and Foreign Affairs Dr. Selami Kılıç and attended by Murat Ar from Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Tufan Nayır, and Dr. Toker Ergüder from WHO, Head of Department of Health Improvement Mustafa Örnek, Head of Department of Environmental Health Tuncay Özer, Head of Department of EU Azmi Ekmen, and Head of Department of International Organizations Yusuf Irmak. At the meeting, the negative effects of global climate change on human health were laid out and the parties were consulted on what they were doing on this issue or planned events.
