The rapid spread of the COVID 19 pandemic, uncertainties concerning its duration and symptoms, as well as high transmission and death rates, caused stress among people. As many people were left face to face with not only the risk of disease but also with the illness or death of their loved ones, maintaining mental health services to reach all segments of society has become vital. In this context, financed by the European Union Finance and in cooperation with WHO Turkey Country Office and our ministry, on 21-23 June 2021, a “Symposium On Mental Health Services In Difficult Situations” was held in Ankara, open to international participation in accordance with pandemic measures and rules.
Deputy Minister Assoc. Prof. Tolga Tolunay participated in the symposium and delivered an opening speech.
