The World Health Organization (WHO) European Conference on Combating Non-Communicable Diseases Through Digital Solutions was held in Moscow/Russian Federation on 14-15 December 2021 with the participation of Deputy Minister Associate Professor Tolga Tolunay and WHO Regional Director for Europe Dr. Hans Kluge. The conference was held in partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the WHO European Office for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases. The aim of the conference was to increase the quality of service, coverage and political advocacy of NCDs through digital solutions; broadly assessing the public health benefits and shortcomings of new technologies and the fight against noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). The conference was organized in a hybrid format with the participation of Member States, partners and other key stakeholders.
Participants included senior Ministry of Health officials, government agencies, intergovernmental organizations, professional charities, academia, the private sector, and people living with noncommunicable diseases.
