As agreed in the Final Declaration of the 8th Summit of the Organization of the Turkic States, the Turkish Medical World Congress took place in coordination with the Secretariat General of the OTS in Istanbul on 30-31 October 2022 in presence of the President of Türkiye H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and with participation of Health Ministers, scientists, sector representatives, universities, non-governmental organizations and students of medicine from member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States as well as special guests from different countries.
Besides Health Minister of Türkiye Dr. Fahrettin Koca, Health Minister of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev, Health Minister of Kazakhstan Azhar Giniyat, Health Minister of Kyrgyz Republic Gulnara Baatırova and Health Minister of Uzbekistan Behzad Musayev and Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States were present in the Congress.
On the margin of the meeting, scientific sessions were organized regarding Contributing to Sustainable Global Supply Chain Collaboration Models, R&D Studies in Health (Vaccine-Drug-Diagnosis-Stem cell), Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Health, Cancer, Rare Diseases, Genome and Its Future and Turkish Pharmacopeia and its Regulations.
Furthermore, Award Ceremony of “Tribute to the History of Medicine and Common Legacy” and TÜSEB-Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Science, Service and Encouragement Award Ceremony were held.
