"Humanity and compassion have been blocked for exactly 13 days"
In his statement on his social media account, Minister Koca said that he was holding talks with his international interlocutors regarding the hospital attacks in Gaza, and he also consulted with Al-Hawari, Minister of Health of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in this context.
He stated that it was decided to start discussions for planning and coordination for the cooperation of the two countries during the meeting, and added that he informed his counterpart Al-Hawari about his meetings with the health ministers of other countries and senior managers of the World Health Organization.
Koca continued as follows:
"As Türkiye, I made an offer to work together in coordination to help our Palestinian brothers. In this framework, I told my Jordanian counterpart that we were ready for the establishment of a field hospital, air transport of the injured to our country for further examination and treatment when necessary, medical personnel support, and supply of medicines and medical devices, as in my other discussions.”
He stated that they were grateful to Türkiye for our country's cooperation proposal and approach. As a result of the meeting with the Minister, in order to ensure planning and coordination in the areas of cooperation that can be realized in the field, we agreed on that the Jordanian and Turkish authorities immediately start consultations through online meetings and, if necessary, start physical activities, and while carrying out those, the World Health Organization Country Offices for Türkiye and Jordan Country Offices carry out coordination activities with us.”
