Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca stated that 4 sorties were planned to deliver aid to the region from the 11th Air Transport Main Base Command in Ankara, and the plane which was prepared first reached Egypt.
He noted that 4 planes full of supplies to aid Gaza started to be sent to Egypt this morning. He stated that there were medical devices, medical supplies, medicines and generators on the planes and added:
"The medical devices include emergency response equipment, operating room equipment such as operating table, operating lamp, anesthesia device, and intensive care devices such as intensive care bed, monitor and ventilator, and imaging devices such as ultrasound, echocardiography and x-ray. Along with these, there are also incubators and phototherapy devices for the babies in Gaza, and food, a large number of diapers for the care and treatment of the babies, and a large number of patient diapers on the planes. Medicines, medical consumables, support and care materials that can meet all the needs of the sick and injured, as well as orthopedic materials for the traumatized patients damaged by war are among the aids sent to Gaza. Generators are among the most important needs of Gaza. For this reason, we included generators, some of which are mobile and some of which are large."
Minister Koca stated that 4 planes full of healthcare support to help Gaza would be sent from Egypt to Gaza by land and added, "We are happy to fulfill this responsibility on behalf of our nation. Our humanitarian responsibility does not end here, it continues."
