Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Kyrgyzstan on November 5 and 6, 2024 to attend the 6th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the OTS, accompanied by the Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and the delegation of the Health Ministry.

On the occasion of the “6th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council,” Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alimkadyr Beishenaliev signed the “Protocol on Cooperation in the Field of Organ Transplantation” and the “Agreement on the Joint Operation of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship.”

After the 6th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu attended the official opening ceremony of “Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship” constructed by TIKA and jointly operated by Türkiye and Kyrgyz Republic as of 2021.
Bilateral Meeting with Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic
Following the opening ceremony, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Prof. Dr. Alimkadır Beyşenaliyev held a bilateral meeting. Director General for EU and Foreign Affairs Dr. Aziz Alper Biten and the delegation of the Directorate General also attended the bilateral meeting. In addition to the relations between the two countries in the field of health, the jointly operated hospital in Bishkek and organ transplantation issues were discussed in the meeting.

Visit to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship
Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten paid a visit to the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship in Bishkek. He met with Turkish and Kyrgyz managers and made detailed examinations of the hospital. He also met with patients and received the opinions of the Kyrgyz people regarding the hospital.

Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten held a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Prof. Dr. Alymkadir Beishenaliev at the Hospital regarding the activities carried out in the field of health, preparations for the hospital opening ceremony, patient treatments and work to be carried out in the upcoming period.

Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten met with Head of Kyrgyzstan Meskhetian Turks Association Atamsha Dursunov at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship in Bishkek. The meeting focused on the general situation of Meskhetian Turks living in the Kyrgyz Republic and their needs in the field of health, and Mr. Dursunov expressed his satisfaction with the activities of the hospital.
Meeting with Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Baidavlatov Kochkerbaevich
Director General Dr. Aziz Alper Biten and his delegation held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Baidavlatov Kochkerbaevich after the opening ceremony of the Hospital and the bilateral meeting between the ministers.
During the meeting, they discussed the future operation of the Hospital, and solution methods regarding the problems experienced in the previous period, procedures regarding the work and visa procedures of Turkish personnel as well as the training of Kyrgyz healthcare personnel.
