The 10th Turkish Medical World Congress, organized by the Ministry of Health with different scientific themes since 2014 and bringing together Turkish scientists and academics from all over the world, was held in Istanbul on November 15-16, 2024.
The technical content and international organization of the Congress, organized under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, were prepared by the General Directorate of EU and Foreign Affairs, and the scientific programs were prepared by the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TUSEB).
The Congress, which aims to develop cooperation, promote progress and solidarity in the field of health among stakeholders from all over the world, was organized this year with the theme of “Health in Disasters and the Future of Health”.
Under the chairmanship of Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Kemal MEMİŞOĞLU; Deputy Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şuayıp BİRİNCİ, Deputy Minister Assistant Prof. Halim ÖZÇEVİK, Director General of EU and Foreign Affairs Dr. Aziz Alper BİTEN, Head of TUSEB Prof. Dr. Ümit KERVAN and high level bureaucrats met with 54 foreign representatives (Ministers, Deputy Ministers and high-level bureaucrats) from 21 countries, including Bosnian Health Minister Dubravka Bosnjak, Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sajveladze, TRNC Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek, North Macedonian Health Minister Arben Taravari, Sudanese Health Minister Heitham Mohammed İbrahim Awadalla, Cuban Deputy Health Minister Tania Margarita Cruz Hernandez, Chinese Deputy Health Minister Cao Xuetao, Azerbaijani Deputy Health Minister Ilgar Gasimov, Gambian Deputy Health Minister Adama Drammeh, Uzbekistan Deputy Health Minister Davron Sultanov, Egyptian Deputy Health Minister Ahmet Safaan, Director General from Kosovon Health Ministry Amir Keka.
Furthermore, Turkish and foreign scientists who continue their work in the field of health abroad, university rectors, Presidential Health Policy Board Chair and members, Members of Parliament with health backgrounds, Ambassadors and students also came together on the occasion of the Congress.

In addition, the annual “Aziz Sancar Science, Service and Incentive Awards” ceremony was held under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
