Preparatory Meeting Held for the Project on “Enhancing Cross-Border Cooperation Against Public Health Risks”
On behalf of our Ministry, the preparatory meeting for the international project initiated under the leadership of our Directorate General, aiming to enhance cross-border cooperation against public health risks, was held on August 4, 2025.
The opening session was attended by SESRIC Director Ms. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and our Director General Dr. Aziz Alper BİTEN.
As one of the leading countries in this initiative, Türkiye takes part in the project alongside Syria and Jordan as beneficiary countries, while the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) serves as the implementing body. The total implementation period of the project is planned to be three years.
