
Türkiye was represented at the G20 2025 Health Ministers’ Meeting by a delegation headed by Director General for EU and Foreign Affairs Dr. Aziz Alper Biten.
On the first day of the meeting, during the High-Level Sessions, Dr. Biten shared national experiences at the Panel on “Financing and Access Solutions for Vaccines Towards a TB-Free World.”
During the High-Level Session on Financing Universal Health Coverage, the success of our country’s health reforms was highlighted, and attention was drawn to the coverage rate of general health insurance in Türkiye.
In the other sessions of the meeting, information was provided on our “Productive Healthcare Model,” which was implemented under the new vision of Minister Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, and a call for cooperation on this initiative was extended to all member countries.
In addition, during the meeting, Dr. Biten held bilateral meetings with the ministers and heads of delegations of Indonesia, the USA, Germany, Russia, Italy, France, Spain, South Africa, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, India, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, and the Republic of the Congo, as well as with delegations from the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
