Under the coordination of the Directorate General for EU and Foreign Affairs, a delegation comprising officials from the Senegalese Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ARP) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), which finances the project, visited the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency on 15 September 2026.
The delegation, which sought to benefit from Türkiye’s experience in designing and implementing a system for the serialization and traceability of medicinal products, was briefed on Türkiye’s practices and experience in this field.
As part of the program, a presentation was delivered on the subject, providing information on the practices currently implemented in Türkiye. This was followed by a site visit, during which the relevant practices were observed firsthand.
During the visit, Türkiye’s experience in the serialization and traceability of medicinal products was shared with the delegation, and existing practices concerning the design and implementation of such systems were discussed.
