Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the Fields of Health and Medical Sciences between Turkey and Malta was signed by Prof. Dr. Recep Akdağ, Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey, and Chris Fearne, Minister of Health of Malta, in Valetta on February 17, 2017 during the visit of the Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım to Malta.
The agreement envisages enforcement of health systems between two countries, exchange of experience on health information system and health statistics, application sharing on public health and primary healthcare, hospital management and hospital health systems, exchange of knowledge and experience on organ and tissue transplant and stem cell, exchange of knowledge on medicine, pharmacy and medical devices, cooperation on organization of emergency health services and health services during disasters, exchange of knowledge and experience on health tourism, short-term training of health personnel and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
