“Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Health” was signed between the Republic of Turkey and Republic of Uzbekistan.
Aiming to develop cooperation in the fields of health and medical tourism between two countries, the document was signed by Dr. Ahmet Demircan, Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey, and Abdulaziz Kamilov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Parties will cooperate and exchange experience in the following areas in order to further develop the cooperation in the field of health and medical tourism.
a.fight against non-communicable diseases and the protection of environmental health;
b.training and promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
c.emergency health services and disaster management;
d.hematology and organ - tissue transplantation;
e.medicines and medical devices;
f.strengthening and improving of the health system;
g.cooperation with aim of improving medical tourism;
h.organization of joint health weeks;
i.public-private partnership model on health related investments
The document will enter into force on the date of signature and continue for 5 years. This Memorandum of Understanding is a result of the Cooperation Agreement in the field of Health and Medicine signed on 18 November 1997 between the Republic of Turkey and Republic of Uzbekistan.
