Dr. Ahmet Demircan, Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey received Khawaja Imran Nazir, Minister of Health of Punjab Province of Pakistan, and accompanying delegation on 30 January 2018.
Following the meeting, the two Ministers held a press meeting. The Turkish Minister expressed his pleasure for hosting Mr. Nazir in Turkey and said “Pakistan and Turkey are friendly countries. Our relations date back to establishment of Pakistan and developed day by day. Pakistan has always supported Turkey and Turkey has and always will support Pakistan.”
Dr. Ahmet Demircan stated that they were working in mutual cooperation in the field of health and agreed to develop that cooperation even more. Deciding the new cooperation areas in the field of health, it was stated that both parties found out extensive cooperation areas in the field of health from medicine production to hospital systems and health systems.
Khawaja Imran Nazir, Minister of Health of Punjab Province of Pakistan, thanked to the Turkish Minister for his hospitality. The guest Minister emphasized his belief that love and respect of the Turkish and Pakistani came from the past and would continue forever and said that Turkey-Pakistan cooperation in the field of health will develop even more with the support of Dr. Ahmet Demircan.
The Guest Minister said that they wished to sign a cooperation and friendship agreement with Turkey and elaborate and implement this agreement in the shortest possible time. Stating that he wanted to give a message to the Turkish nation on behalf of the Pakistani people and government, Mr. Nazir said that “Enemy of Turkey is enemy of Pakistan. And friend of Turkey is friend of Pakistan.”
