Prof. Dr. Recep Akdağ, Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey, attended the “Health Leaders’ Ministerial Forum” in Harvard.
Ministers of Health from 14 countries participated in the meeting which was attended by 84 Ministers of Health and Finance from 49 countries as of 2012.
The Turkish Minister, who has been the member of Expert Resource Group and Advisory Committee since 2012, is the first person reelected for this position. In addition to board meetings, Prof. Dr. Recep Akdağ is working on transformational leadership and health policies with the visiting Ministers.
The meeting is organized in every June jointly by Harvard Public Health and Harvard Kennedy Faculty of Management and it aims to remind the leaders and policy makers of especially developing countries to prioritize the health and health management for sustainable growth and economic development and create awareness in global scale.
