Minister Fahrettin Koca, accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, went to Qatar on 7 December 2021 to attend the 7th Meeting of the Qatar-Turkey High Strategic Committee. On the sidelines of the said meeting, the Implementation Program on Cooperation in the Fields of Health and Medical Sciences was signed by the Ministry of Public Health of the State of Qatar, Dr. Hannan Al-Kuwari, and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Fahrettin Koca, in the presence of the heads of state of both countries. With the said Implementation Program signed on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Health and Medical Sciences between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the State of Qatar, signed on 18 December 2016, it is projected to cooperate on the strengthening health systems, public health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, emergency health services, pharmacy and drug control, e-health and health information systems, treatment abroad, quality and patient safety, medical research and development, health insurance system and occupational health and safety.
