Upon invitation of Ministry of Health, a delegation consisting of five people under the presidency of Deputy Minister of Health of Iraq Tevfik Velid paid a visit to Türkiye on May 26 – 27, 2022. Within the scope of visit, Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Tolga Tolunay received Deputy Minister of Health of Iraq Tevfik Velid and accompanying delegation on May 26, 2022.
At the meeting, the Parties agreed on formation of a joint working group in order to determine concrete cooperation areas and determine potential areas of cooperation. The Cooperation Agreement text, which is planned to be signed between two countries, was finalized at the end of the meeting.
