President of Colombia Ivan Duque paid a visit to Türkiye on May 20, 2022 upon invitation of President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Guest President was accompanied by Minister of Health and Social Security of Colombia Fernando Ruiz Gomez with whom Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca conducted a bilateral meeting in Istanbul on May 20, 2022. During the meeting, views on formation of a Joint Working Group with participation of decision-makers from both Ministries of Health and the concrete cooperation were exchanged.
Moreover, The Memorandum of Understanding between Government of Republic of Türkiye and Government of Republic of Colombia in the field of Health and Medical Sciences, which will constitute a legal basis for legal cooperation in the field of health between the two countries, was signed by Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca and Minister of Health and Social Security of Colombia Fernando Ruiz Gomez in Istanbul on May 20, 2022.
