Within the scope of “The EU Facility for Refugees in Turkey (FRIT)” realized in 2016 in line with the memorandum between the EU and Türkiye, the opening ceremony of 250-bed capacity Hatay Dörtyol Public Hospital, which was built with French Development Agency (AFD), was held on June 9, 2022. The said ceremony was attended by Governor of Hatay Rahmi Doğan, Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Tolga Tolunay to represent the Ministry, Director General of EU and Foreign Affairs Dr. Selami Kılıç, and the representatives from General Directorate of Public Health, General Directorate of EU and Foreign Affairs and General Directorate of Turkish Public Hospitals. Moreover, Deputy Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations in European Commission Henrike Trautmann, French Ambassador to Türkiye Herve Margo, Head of EU Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and representatives from AFD attended the ceremony.
