1st G20 Health Ministerial Meeting and 1st G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministerial Meeting was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on June 20 – 21, 2022. Health Ministerial meeting was conducted on the first day of the meeting, and Joint Finance and Health Ministerial meeting was conducted on the second day. The meeting was attended by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Tolga Tolunay.
During 1st G20 Health Ministerial Meeting, reciprocal views were exchanged in the presence of member states on the side events and activities, which have been carried out in Health Working Groups since the beginning of 2022. The member states were informed on the main points of Health Declaration which is aimed to be acknowledged at the end of the year.
During G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministerial Meeting, the views were shared in the presence of member states and related international organizations on how the governance structures and sources of finance of Financial Intermediary Funds (FIF), planned to be established by World Bank Group, and Finance and Health Coordination Platform, planned to be established by World Health Organization. The said meeting was attended by the representatives from Ministry of Health in-person within the framework of procedures designated by G20 Presidency of Indonesia; and the representatives from Ministry of Treasury and Finance attended the meeting online.
